What happens in Church?  What is it like?

Worship begins promptly at 10:30,and is scheduled to end by 11:30.  Typical dress ranges from your “sunday best” to casual.  There is Nursery care provided, and a Junior Church experience, for grade school children that begins after the children’s sermon.  You are welcome to keep your children with you during worship, also.  Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of the month, which you are welcome to share. There is an offering taken, but we don’t expect visitors to contribute. The congregational singing is hymns from the hymn book in the liveliest style that we can genuinely do, with the occasional surprise. Jeff Beshore, our music director plays organ and keyboard, and plans rehearsed special music by the choir, handbell choirs, and soloists. Pastor Harley’s sermon is about 15-20 minutes long, and you can see a previous sermon on the Minerva UMC facebook page.
